"The Social Learning Center (SLC) was founded in 2009 based off a need Dr. Abildgaard recognized early in his career when working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). He set out to develop a setting that supports and understands individuals with various types of social learning challenges and creates supports and interventions to help them better adapt to their world and the context in which they live. Since opening their doors, the SLC has grown to offer a range of therapeutic services including social cognitive groups, mental health counseling, educational consultation, profession development, executive function coaching and parent advocacy.
